NETSCAPE MESSENGER HELP

Most problems in Netscape Messenger are caused by incorrect server settings. Following are instructions on how to check them.

Inside Netscape Messenger, click on the Edit menu, and select Preferences. A new box will pop up. Along the right, make sure your name and email address are entered properly. Along the left, click on Mail Servers, and some new information will pop up on the right.

Click on the Edit button to the right, and a new box will pop up. Make sure ecr.net is in there if you have a PPP or NOLIMIT account, or mail.ecr.net if you have a PPPVOP or NOLIMITVOP account. Make sure your user-ID is typed in, and check the checkmark that says Remember Password. Click OK.

Next, on the Outgoing Mail server, make sure ecr.net is in there if you have a PPP or NOLIMIT account, or mail.ecr.net if you have a PPPVOP or NOLIMITVOP account. Make sure your user-ID is in the mail server name box.

When you are done, click OK.
